Decking Timber in Eucalyptus Saligna (Blue Gum)

Our Eucalyptus Saligna (Blue Gum) is the hero of the range — a dense, hard-wearing hardwood with distinctive red and rose tones that give each board its own natural character. Strong, durable and beautifully suited to outdoor living, Saligna is an exceptional choice for premium residential decking where both performance and appearance matter.

Hansen Timber uses First Grade – Heart Saligna to produce a premium-quality decking product from NZ-grown timber. By selecting heartwood for our decking, we bring the natural strength, rich colour and character of the species to the finished product, creating a deck that feels as good as it looks.

Freshly milled, Saligna displays beautiful warm tones ranging from soft pinks and reds through to deeper rose and brown hues. Over time, when exposed to the elements, the timber will naturally weather and silver off, creating a softer, understated appearance while retaining the character of the timber.

Whether you choose to maintain the original warmth of the Saligna or allow it to naturally silver with age, Hansen Saligna decking brings the beauty of NZ-grown hardwood to outdoor spaces, crafted with the precision and care of a Hansen Timber product.
