Natural hardwood. Beautifully crafted.

Create a boundary with the strength and natural character of NZ-grown Eucalyptus Saligna (Blue Gum).

Hansen Timber's Saligna Interlocking Fence combines the distinctive beauty of a premium hardwood with a clean, precision-milled interlocking profile. Its deep red, rose and soft pink tones create a warm architectural finish that makes the fence feel like an intentional part of the landscape, rather than simply a boundary.

Made from NZ-grown Saligna and milled onsite at our Clevedon sawmill, each component is crafted with the same attention to quality and precision that defines Hansen Timber.

A timber that changes beautifully with time

Freshly milled Saligna has a naturally rich colour palette, ranging from soft pinks and warm reds through to deeper rose and brown tones. As the timber is exposed to sunlight and the elements, these colours will naturally soften and silver off over time.

For many projects, this natural weathering is part of the appeal.

The result is a softer, more understated silver-grey appearance that allows the fence to settle beautifully into its surroundings. Rather than treating the natural ageing of the timber as something to prevent, a Saligna fence can be designed to evolve with the landscape, developing its own character over time.

If you prefer to retain more of the original warmth and colour of the Saligna, an appropriate exterior timber coating or maintenance system can be used to help slow the natural weathering process.
